The Lockney City Council considered an amendment to the Memorandum of Agreement with Kellison Roofing and Construction, LLC for additional exterior work at the city's new animal shelter. Options for additional exterior work were presented by Travis Angerer. Councilman Donnie McLaughlin moved that the city not move forward with any of the provided quotes; Councilwoman Rosio Reyes seconded. The motion passed unanimously.
City Manager/Interim City Secretary KayCee Thiebaud had earlier reported that the animal shelter was nearing completion as part of the City Manager/City Secretary report included in the consent agenda. The council did not approve additional exterior work quotes and did not direct staff to seek alternate exterior work proposals in the same meeting record.
