Resident urges Poulsbo to adopt manufactured‑home park overlay to protect senior park

“We're an 89 unit senior, manufactured home park,” Bowie said, asking the commission to recommend adoption of an overlay that would protect parks from sale for market‑rate housing or commercial use and preserve affordable housing. She said she had addressed the commission on the topic at a prior meeting.
Later in the code‑amendment workshop staff confirmed that the manufactured‑home overlay is included in the package under review and that planning staff supports including it in the fall or upcoming amendment cycle. Commissioners acknowledged the inclusion and staff said the overlay is supported by the commission’s recommended code package, to be heard at a May 13 public hearing and later reviewed by the city council and state reviewers.
