Grand County EMS Chief Austin Wingate asked the board to accept a Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment emergency grant to replace a failed cardiac monitor/defibrillator. "My ask today is is, to authorize the board chair to execute the statement of work, for the cost of a refurbished unit, which is $19,237.19," Wingate said. He described the refurbished unit as a stopgap until capital funds can replace first‑generation monitors.
Wingate also informed the board that Contexture has purchased the county's prior vendor and recommended switching the county's health‑data exchange contract to Contexture at a software access cost of $1,760 per year; commissioners authorized DocuSign execution of the agreement. Commissioners moved to accept the CDPHE grant and to authorize the chair to sign both the grant statement of work and the Contexture contract.
The board recorded motions approving the grant acceptance and the vendor contract; the chair was authorized to sign all applicable documents outside the meeting.
