Council approves a package of appropriations including stormwater, health project and paving costs

Floyd County Council approved a set of additional appropriations on June 9 that fund stormwater work, a Health Department construction project financed through a 2025 BAN, and county paving projects. Commissioner/CFO Stan Heil presented the requests and provided line-item amounts.
The council approved $250,000 from the Stormwater Fund for professional services (account 1197.30005). The council also approved $1,379,987.95 from the 2025 BAN Health Department Project Fund for construction ($1,264,085.95) and costs related to 3317 Grantline Road ($115,902.00). Additionally, the Commissioner Capital Projects Fund received $734,532.38 for paving. Motions to approve each item were carried unanimously after staff presentation and motions by council members.
