Commissioners discussed logistics — departure, overnight stops, and whether to send a chase vehicle for safety — and approved the travel and the modest overrun. Buckley said the drivers will leave in the morning, load salt in Moab, overnight in Grand Junction, and return the next day. The board authorized the chair to sign travel approvals and accepted the budget increase.
