The Claymont City Board of Education convened a special meeting on Feb. 26, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. in the district administrative office with Mr. Peters presiding. Roll call listed Ms. Campbell, Mrs. Grandison, Mrs. Host, Mr. Peters and Mrs. Wolf as present; Superintendent Brian Rentsch and Treasurer Kim Beckley attended as personnel.
After recording the district vision and mission statements the board unanimously approved the special meeting agenda (motion by Mrs. Host; second by Ms. Campbell). The board then voted to enter executive session at 6:01 p.m. "for discussions on employment," with the session ending at 7:23 p.m. Following the executive session the board approved two items under agenda 26-025: (A) a three-year contract for Kim Beckley effective Aug. 1, 2026, and (B) a Release of Liability resolution, both passed by unanimous roll call votes. The meeting adjourned at 7:31 p.m.
