The Claymont City Board of Education voted Feb. 9 to adopt Calendar A for the 2026–2027 school year after Superintendent Brian Rentsch reported both unions had expressed a preference for that option.
"I had received word that both unions like calendar A, so that is the one that is recommended for approval," Rentsch said during board discussion. Ms. Campbell moved to approve Calendar A under New Business and Mrs. Grandison seconded; the roll call vote was unanimous.
The board noted calendar approval allows staff to proceed with scheduling and planning for next school year; no changes to instructional days or negotiated terms were recorded in the transcript.
