Treasurer Kim Beckley administered the oath to the three newly elected trustees in a brief ceremony that followed roll call and formal opening procedures.
The swearing-in completes the board's post-election membership ahead of other organizational business, including officer elections, committee appointments and administrative authorizations. The meeting record notes that Superintendent Brian Rentsch and district administrators were present to observe; members of the public in attendance included Holly Lloyd and Aubrey Somers and family. "Mrs. Beckley administered the Board Member Oath of Office of the Claymont City Board of Education to Lois Grandison, Cyndy Host and Michelle Wolf," the meeting record states.
The newly seated trustees will take part in board votes and committee assignments approved later in the evening, including elections for board president and vice-president.
