Mayor Jennifer Williams presented a Certificate of Appointment and administered the oath to Paul Eckeberger at the Log Cabin City Council meeting on Oct. 17, 2024, formally seating him as a councilmember.
Council then addressed a personnel change on the Planning & Zoning Commission. Mayor Williams read a letter of resignation from Paul Eckeberger from the P&Z commission. Bill Sims moved to accept the resignation; Randy Page seconded. The vote was recorded as For — Larry Sutherland, Bill Sims, and Randy Page; Abstain — Paul Eckeberger. The motion passed.
To fill the vacancy, the council considered Joe Clark, who had previously expressed willingness to serve, and approved Resolution 24-19 to appoint him to the Planning & Zoning Commission. Bill Sims moved to accept the resolution; Randy Page seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
The council returned to other agenda items after completing the appointment and did not take further action related to P&Z at that meeting.
