The Log Cabin City Council moved to fill a vacant council seat at its Oct. 3 special meeting. Mayor Williams reported that applications had been received from Chris Martin and Paul Eckeberger; Councilmember Larry Sutherland moved to appoint Paul Eckeberger and Randy Page seconded. Council recorded a unanimous vote in favor and the motion passed.
Because Eckeberger was not present, the council did not issue a certificate of appointment or administer an oath; the item was placed on the Oct. 17 regular meeting agenda for swearing-in. The minutes record the motion and result as "All in Favor. Motion Passed."
