Council approves multiple service agreements and interlocal contracts

The Log Cabin City Council approved several routine contracts and interlocal agreements on Sept. 19, including a service agreement with Aqua Services, the annual ETCOG interlocal for IT services, a 2024–25 interlocal agreement for police services with Caney City, and continued cyber-coverage with TML IRP.
Representatives from Aqua Services — Jeremy Crocker and Sarah Neal — attended and told the council the service agreement was acceptable. Randy Page moved to accept the agreement and Larry Sutherland seconded; the motion passed unanimously.
Council approved the ETCOG IT interlocal and the Caney City police interlocal by unanimous votes. Council also accepted a TML IRP cyber-security quote after discussion that other providers were substantially more expensive. Mayor Williams read and council approved annual resolutions designating First State Bank of Athens as the city’s official bank and The Monitor as the official newspaper.
Council deferred the Star Harbor MOU for police services to the October agenda and noted that the Bass House lease with Southside Rentals requires a zoning amendment to allow that business use in the Civic zone before a lease could be executed.
