Council approved a $141,000 supplement (parametric construction admin contract supplementation number 1) to add materials testing (compaction, aggregate, concrete testing) for the Knoll Road North segment and Safe Routes to School project, and authorized the deputy mayor to sign the supplement. Public-works staff said construction began the week of the meeting and that initial phases include clearing, grubbing and pavement removal near Paulsville Elementary School.
City staff said the overall construction estimate for the Knoll Road North project is in the $11,000,000 range and that the materials-testing supplement brings the consultant construction-support contract to about $887,000. "We do anticipate construction to be complete in the summer of 2026," the engineer said. The council approved the motion with unanimous recorded votes and asked staff to coordinate school‑year sequencing to minimize impacts.
