Council appoints P&Z officers and raises maximum building height to 40 feet

The Lone Oak City Council made several actions affecting Planning & Zoning at its Sept. 10 meeting. Councilmember Barrow moved to appoint Justin Hogue as Planning & Zoning President; Mayor Pro-Tem Williams seconded and the motion passed 3-0 with Councilmember Hogue recorded as abstaining. Councilmember Owen moved to appoint Emelia DeWeese as P&Z Secretary; the motion passed 4-0.
Separately, the council approved an amendment to the lot sizes and setback chart that changed the maximum building height from 35 feet to 40 feet. Councilmember Owen moved the change, Councilmember Hogue seconded, and the motion passed 4-0. The minutes list the revised low-density (in-town) single-family (SF-1) requirements including the updated max building height.
