EDC reports Buffalo Mesa road improvements tabled; Kim’s Convenience lift-station issues flagged

EDC President Wes Owens reported to the council that a recent attorney meeting addressed Buffalo Mesa road improvements and that the Economic Development account received a $4,800 deposit. The EDC tabled the road-improvement item and councilmembers said they hope to hold a joint meeting with the EDC to consider a resolution.
“EDC President Wes Owens reported they had a meeting with the attorney regarding Buffalo Mesa road improvements,” Owens said in his report to the council. Owens also said he and Councilmember Owen met with Mr. Cole of Kim’s Convenience about a potential tax abatement and infrastructure concerns; the city needs inspections of the lift station and booster system by Public Works staff and inspector Terry Williams before further action.
