The Fremont City Council on May 12 adopted the meeting agenda and unanimously approved the mayor’s recommended reappointments to several city boards.
At the start of the consent agenda the council consented to the mayor’s reappointment of Maggie Zarate, Marty Gifford and Kimberly Brown to housing-related boards for terms ending in September 2031; Councilman Horner moved to consent and Councilwoman Gannon seconded. “Having all of these folks wanna do it again is a testament’s dedication,” Councilman Horner said during his motion to approve. The motion carried 7–0.
Council also consented to the mayor’s reappointment of Michelle Wiese to the utility and infrastructure board for a term ending June 2031 and approved reappointments to the airport advisory committee with the same unanimous tally. The mayor removed item 5 from the consent agenda at Councilman Marsh’s request for separate consideration.
The council’s decisions were routine procedural approvals; no public comments were recorded on the reappointments.
