A committee member reported that invitations for Port Richey City’s Mayor’s Ball have been printed, signed and mailed and urged members to begin sharing a 30‑day ticket push.
“All the invitations are out,” the committee member said, adding that large digital copies will be emailed to invitees to prompt RSVPs. The organizer noted a minor printing flaw — a thin white border on the invitations — and said the vendor agreed to issue a credit.
The committee reviewed sponsorships and budget numbers. The organizer listed confirmed sponsors and amounts: Pasco Sheriff Charities ($250), Southern Group (lobbyist group, $500), Coast GMC ($2,500) and a $5,000 pledge from Morgan Auto Group (to be split among local dealerships), totaling $8,250 in commitments. She also presented a vendor estimate of $6,395 for event production and décor that included a proposed $850 ice sculpture. Removing that ice‑sculpture line would reduce the estimate to roughly $5,545.
Members debated décor options — crystal chandeliers, floor‑to‑ceiling bead hangings and backdrop projections — and asked the organizer to obtain final pictures and an adjusted estimate. The vendor (EPI) will require a 50% deposit to lock the order, with the remainder on delivery.
The committee agreed to follow up on outstanding sponsorship replies (including from Whiskey Joe’s) and on Tunnel to Towers’ possible donations and speaking participants. The organizer said she would contact media (Suncoast News) for an event article and continue promotion as the 30‑day window begins.
