The MASON ISD special meeting on Jan. 7 began with a roll call that established a seven-member quorum and an invocation led by Kathryn Martin. The board then considered agenda items including a Kimble Central Appraisal District ballot and closed-session personnel matters.
Board member Jim Bob Smith moved to approve the Kimble CAD ballot (4 votes for Jason Loeffler, 4 votes for Dennis Armstrong and 5 votes for Alex Gonzales III); the motion was seconded by Eric Buell and passed 7-0. Later the board entered closed session at 5:02 PM to consider personnel and the superintendent's evaluation, reconvened at 5:55 PM, and adjourned by a unanimous motion made by Jim Bob Smith and seconded by Joe Langehennig.
