Ephrata awarded a contract to Gold Rock Invite LLC to service and paint 16 pickleball courts at the city sports complex for $43,199.07, the lowest of five bids the city received. Staff described the recommended color scheme (light gray exterior, navy playing area and a lighter blue non-volley zone) and said posts, nets and other equipment were already on site.
"Gold Rock Invite LLC submitted the lowest of 5 posts that we got for $43,199.07," staff said when recommending the award. Staff estimated work could begin after contract finalization and suggested the courts might be ready for play by September. Council moved, seconded and approved Resolution R26-050 to award the contract.
Staff said the award allows the city to program tournaments and begin recreational programming once the surface and painting work are complete.
