The Lake Forest SD 67 board voted unanimously to approve an intergovernmental agreement for crossing-guard services and separately approved a memorandum of understanding with the City of Lake Forest for a school resource officer.
Board discussion included a request to clarify the wording of action item 1 because the motion as read initially referenced the crossing guard agreement but the meeting attachment also included the city MOU. Board member 9 asked the body to include both agreements explicitly in the motion: “Could we... modify action number 1? Because it is listed as approval of the intergovernment agreement... It's listed as the approval of the intergovernment agreement for crossing guard services, which we separated, but we also have in the attachment the approval of the intergovernmental agreement with the city of Lake Forest,” the board member said. The board then made and seconded a clarified motion and approved it by roll call.
Both motions passed with roll-call votes; the transcript records each named member voting yes in the roll calls reported by the clerk. The approvals will permit district coordination with the City of Lake Forest for crossing-guard services and the SRO MOU; the transcript does not include the MOU terms or dollar amounts.
