Board outlines bleacher replacement plan and other capital work

The superintendent told the board that the district's highest-lead-time capital project is a bleacher replacement and that work is now in design and discussion stages. "The one that requires the most lead time is actually our bleacher replacement," he said, and the district anticipates issuing a bid package in September or October because of long lead times.
He said the district has been conferring with coaches, the athletic director and technical staff and that the same engineer may handle related field projects. For other planned work, a company is doing property surveys and soil samples, though the superintendent said he did not yet have a full report to present.
