"The Chair is Dillon Spangler, Vice Chair is Tammy Wilking, Secretary is Rachel Mendoza, and Treasurer is Tanya Kelsey," Mayor Landin said. Vice Chair Tammy Wilking clarified the committee is advisory and not part of the City Council: "The only thing that I would like to say as an advisory committee we are not part of the City Council...we do want to help our city develop some things..." She said the committee will meet the first Monday of each month at 6 p.m. at the community center and encouraged public participation.
According to the minutes, the committee decided to pursue filing as a 501(c)(3) so it can receive donations from businesses or individuals to support projects intended to spur downtown and west-side redevelopment. The committee plans outreach to potential developers and community members at monthly meetings; the minutes record no formal council action to fund or adopt the committee's plans at this meeting.
