Study shows Budacould more than double daily demand by 2043 under business-as-usual

Staff and vice chair discussion stressed that the report used a business-as-usual scenario (three people per household LUE) and that changing development rules, incentives and homeowner practices could materially change the outlook. The presenters also cited irrigation as a major driver of outdoor demand and modeled ranges for irrigation consumption depending on the percentage of outdoor use (30–60% of total usage) and uptake of different measures.
