City staff reported updates on Water Well #5 and other utility matters during the Sept. 9 council meeting. The engineer and drilling company had not provided final test results by meeting time but anticipated the new well would be operational before Thanksgiving.
The minutes record that the "36-hour shutdown... went smoothly" and that the city used a "real time" alert system on the storage tank to provide updates to residents. The utility report thanked residents for conserving water: "Residents and businesses did an excellent job with water conservation during this time!" The packet also credits C.
