"Without the donations, we wouldn't be able to do what we do," a Community Christmas representative said, and later confirmed the program served 163 families and reached 436 children this season. Board members praised the organization's long history and the school for providing gym space used for packing and distribution. Dale Dale, who spoke during public remarks, said use of the gym reduced packing and shipping time from many hours to under three hours this year.
The board invited applause for the volunteers and noted the supporting role of local businesses and the Booster Foundation, which the board later referenced while adopting the consent agenda. No formal action was required of the board for the recognition.
