The Burton City Council approved final amended budgets for fiscal year 2024–25 at its April 8 meeting, a measure reflecting January–March actual income and expenses.
Councilmember Paul McLaughlin moved to approve the amended general and utility fund budgets after discussion. The meeting packet included profit-and-loss overviews showing water and sewer revenues, expenses and a net ordinary income (the utility fund reported a net ordinary loss for the period). The motion passed unanimously with Councilmembers Eckhardt and Tidwell recorded as voting for approval.
Staff did not identify additional budgetary actions tied to the amendments beyond acceptance at this meeting. City staff will incorporate the approved figures into accounting records and publish the finalized budgets per municipal practice.
