Lovelady ISD board certifies May 2 trustee election; new trustees sworn in

The Lovelady ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously on May 12 to canvass and certify the May 2, 2026 school trustee election. The motion to certify was made by Joel Shoemaker and seconded by Pat Allen and passed 7-0-0.
Following certification, Cindi Burleson administered the oath of office to Will Crawford (Position 5), Rusty Baker (Position 6) and Keith Driskell (Position 7), seating the newly elected trustees. Cynthia Lum, Houston County Election Administrator, was listed as a visitor to the meeting.
