Council nominates Nicole Thompson to TML Region 10 and appoints local board members

The council handled several governance and appointment items. After brief discussion, Council member Davidson nominated Nicole Thompson (Leander) as the city’s Region 10 director nominee to the Texas Municipal League; the nomination carried. For the TML intergovernmental risk pool trustee ballot (places 11–14), council reviewed candidate bios in the packet and chose not to submit nominations before the Oct. 3 deadline.
Council also nominated Council member Monica Davison to be the city’s nominee to the Hays Central Appraisal District board for the 2025 term; Davison accepted the nomination and the council approved it. The nominations committee presented a slate of midterm appointments — Sandra Price to the Commission on Aging, Susan Guerra to the Main Street Advisory Board, and Brian Hockman to Planning & Zoning — and council approved the slate. Later, after executive session, council reappointed Bernardo Saenz to the Dupree LGC.
