Mayor DiSalvo presented the Fire Department budget noting reserves for a truck, a command vehicle and other apparatus. Trustee James Ramus said a new fire truck "is one‑million dollars for a new truck and it takes about 2‑years to have one made." DiSalvo said the village is applying for a grant and may borrow for one truck while paying cash for another; he also noted the firehouse building is owned by the membership, not the village.
Trustees did not take formal action on apparatus funding during the workshop and asked staff to pursue grant possibilities and financing options before further budget decisions are made.
