During the council’s open comment period on Feb. 13, Willard resident Doug Younger raised a series of infrastructure and code-enforcement concerns.
Younger asked about a crusher operating in Granite Ridge and whether its depth or material removal violated rules; Mayor Mote and City Manager Kimpton said they were aware of the situation and that a cease-and-desist letter would be issued to stop off-site removal of materials. He also reported overgrown walking paths in Deer Run Subdivision and suggested more permanent coverings such as asphalt; council members said they would review final layout plans and consider ordinance requirements for path coverings.
Younger also reported a knocked-down streetlight and another with a broken top light; council agreed to follow up with Rocky Mountain Power. He questioned the need for handicapped ramps in the EK Bailey Subdivision and raised the status of larger truck stickers for city trucks; City Manager Kimpton acknowledged delays finalizing designs. Finally, he pointed out inconsistently placed street signs across town; council members said they would investigate and follow up.
