Council approves amendment to development agreement with History Maker Homes to allow 100 temporary sewer connections

City Attorney Susan Thomas reminded council that the original development agreement with HMH Caddo Mills Land, LP included a planned regional sewer plant and that the amendment would permit the developer 100 temporary new sewer connections to the city until the plant is constructed. City Manager Matt McMahan said approval from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) was expected by the end of the month to allow design work to proceed.
Mayor Pro Tem John Verity moved to approve the first amendment; Council Member Justin Poppelreiter seconded the motion and council approved it unanimously. The amendment was presented as a step to facilitate immediate connections for the development while the regional plant design and permitting proceed.
