Autauga County approves transfer and three hires, including correction officer and receptionist

At the July 14 meeting, the Autauga County Commission approved several personnel actions. Commissioner John L. Thrailkill moved to transfer Dustyn Watts from Investigator to Deputy Sheriff, grade PS303: step 4, effective July 13, 2026; Commissioner Rusty Jacksland seconded and the motion passed unanimously. The minutes record the effective date and grade for the position.
The commission also approved two hires. Commissioner Rusty Jacksland moved and Commissioner Terry Tanner seconded hiring Jordan Collins as a full-time correction officer, grade PS301: step 3, effective June 30, 2026. Commissioner John L. Thrailkill moved and Commissioner Bill Tatum seconded hiring Kaylee Meeks as a full-time receptionist, grade 3: step 15, pending a background and drug test; Meeks will replace Lisa Grier, who resigned. All personnel motions carried by unanimous vote of the commission.
