Silver Creek supervisors approve agenda, minutes and disbursements; provide fund balances

At the Sept. 16, 2025 meeting the Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors approved the meeting agenda and several sets of minutes, approved disbursements and heard a funds summary showing total township funds declining from $902,520.23 to $841,121.15.
The Silver Creek Township Board of Supervisors approved the meeting agenda and several previous meeting minutes during their Sept. 16, 2025 session. Supervisor Ryan Nelson moved to approve the agenda; Supervisor Andy Christensen seconded the motion and it carried 3-0. Nelson then moved to approve the Aug. 5 minutes (seconded by Christensen); Chairman Mike Helman recorded an abstention and that motion carried 2-0. Christensen moved to approve the Sept. 2 minutes (seconded by Helman), carried 3-0.
The board also approved the list of disbursements. "Motion made by Nelson to approve the list of disbursements, second by Christensen, carried 3-0," the minutes state. The Clerk-Treasurer provided a funds summary showing beginning and ending balances across township accounts: General beginning $120,209.19 and ending $82,559.76; Road & Bridge beginning $593,689.96 and ending $569,708.31; Contingency $113,882.13 remained unchanged; Fire $74,738.95; Petty Cash moved from $310.00 to $232.00. The ledger total declined from $902,520.23 to $841,121.15.
The board concluded this portion of the meeting without further debate and moved on to departmental reports.
