Staff (S3) asked the board to allow the clerk to submit the list on June 1 to the animal-control officer so enforcement (including tickets) can begin after the 30-day compliance period.
The clerk (S9) explained the fee schedule in open meeting: a spayed or neutered dog license is $18 and an unspayed/unneutered dog license is $22; an earlier unlicensed-dog fee noted in discussion had been $14 and was updated to current levels. The board discussed penalties and noted citation authority of up to $500 for continued noncompliance. The board voted to allow the clerk to forward the list to staff so animal-control can pursue people who have not licensed their dogs.
