Committee adds Auto Smart parcel to enterprise zone to support showroom expansion

Staff told the committee that the parcel immediately west of Auto Smart’s building had not been included in the enterprise zone when the property changed hands, and the proposed amendment would add that parcel so the owner could expand showroom and related commercial space. "They are looking to expand add another building to allow them to expand their showroom," staff said during the presentation.
Committee members discussed process and timing; staff said the item will move from committee to the full board for final approval and that the committee approved the amendment in committee (motion carried with one nay recorded).
