The court recessed into executive session under Texas Government Code §§551.071 (consultation with attorney) and 551.074 (personnel) and later returned to appoint Victor Smith as Precinct 4 constable effective July 1, 2025; the motion stated his salary will be funded from residual Precinct 4 funds through Sept. 30, 2025, contingent on filing his county bond. No public comments were submitted during either public comment period. The meeting adjourned after routine business.
