The Calvert City Council approved a $13,000 settlement agreement with Rose Ann Jones on Oct. 28, 2024 following an executive session. City Attorney James McCullough recommended the compromise settlement and release of all claims, and the council voted unanimously to approve the agreement.
Under the approved terms, Ms. Jones will provide consulting services for a period beginning at the end of the next pay period and running through Jan. 31, 2025. Council Member Walston made the motion to approve the settlement and Council Member Grimes seconded; all members present voted in favor. The action followed a closed meeting held under Texas Government Code §551.071 and §551.074.
