The Bynum ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously May 21 to fill its officer posts for the coming term and administered oaths of office to two trustees.
At the start of the meeting President Kelly Cordell announced a quorum. Brandy Faulknor administered the oath of office to Shawn Young and Craig Tipton. During the reorganization, Craig Tipton moved — and Kelly Cordell seconded — to nominate Tim Helms for secretary; Robert Hopson was nominated and unanimously approved as vice president; and Kelly Cordell was unanimously re-elected president. The meeting minutes record that each nomination was approved by a unanimous vote.
The board took the actions during the regular meeting called to order at 7:00 PM in the district cafeteria. No dissent or roll-call objections were recorded in the minutes; the board proceeded to routine business after completing officer elections and oath administration.
