Manager reports on delinquent taxes, FEMA, ARPA balance and staffing change

Jackie presented the town's management report and financial updates, noting delinquent taxes and utility delinquencies and explaining the status of FEMA and paving grants. Jackie said FEMA work on Graniteville Road and a portion of the July 2024 claim remains pending while related federal paperwork is reviewed in Washington, D.C.
Jackie also reported that the town filed its second-year ARPA report and has $144,000 appropriated but not yet spent — $30,000 slated for a clock tower and the remainder for tower-related work — and said Kathy Bruno will begin as interim assessor on April 17. On property transactions, Jackie said a buyer has submitted a $3,000 deposit on the Hoyt Seabro ball field parking lot and requested an extension to April 25 to finalize paperwork. Jackie also updated the board on a local animal-case arraignment and an upcoming July 30 status hearing.
"Delinquent taxes as of today are $164,005.34 $0.09," Jackie reported during the management review. She also said, "We currently have a $144,000 that's been appropriated but has not been spent."
