City Manager Joe Price and Fire Chief Dennis Gwyn briefed the commission on fires in and around Canyon during the week of May 14, 2026. Price recognized specific city employees for hands-on work battling the fires, naming Fleet Service Technician Daniel Hughes, Street Department Maintenance Worker I Dillon Meeves, and Street and Solid Waste Foreman Bob Lamb.
