Winthrop board unanimously approves several policy second readings

The Winthrop School Board voted unanimously to approve a package of policy updates on second reading. Policies approved include ECB (pest management), JLCB (student immunization), JICIA (weapons, violence and school safety), JFC (dropout prevention and student withdrawal), EEEAEA (student transportation and employee requirements/training) and related drug and alcohol testing procedures for bus drivers.
Committee members moved and seconded the motion and the board recorded a unanimous vote in favor. No substantive changes were reported from the first reading, and the policies will be incorporated into district policy manuals and administrative procedures as applicable.
