Sean Lockhead of the All Airborne Battalion described active training at Camp Toccoa — he said there are "about 15–20 students and 6–7 refreshers, and a number of hangers, we have representatives from six countries" — and outlined planned upgrades including an obstacle course, a 34‑foot jump tower and a reinstated rifle range to expand training and public access.
Lockhead framed the efforts as part of historical preservation and veteran commemoration, noting that World War II veterans able to travel to European sites are growing fewer.
