"I believe if I am not mistaken that and I am very confused cause we have already considered and taken action on this abatement on 508 Harrison and it was approved and seconded and the motion passed last month, why are we revisiting it," said Dana Cunningham, who urged the council not to jeopardize money already paid into the process. Tammy Wilking said she supported exploring options that could save the city money but was upset the matter had been delayed for more than a month before appearing on the agenda.
Commenters framed their remarks as concerns about process and communication rather than new policy proposals. The minutes record the public comments and the council’s subsequent vote to stand by the July 14 decision and to restart the process with R&J Dirtwork; the document does not show a change to the previously approved abatement.
