The Salary Review Commission voted to distribute a preliminary report and supporting attachments to the public in advance of a scheduled hearing on August 14 at 3:00 p.m. Commissioner Madison moved to compile the report and have the city distribute it before Friday's hearing; the motion was seconded and carried.
"Absent any other comments, I would make a motion to approve compiling this and, having the city distribute it in advance of our Friday hearing," Commissioner Madison said. Commissioners agreed to add appendices and circulated exhibits so the public would have the information prior to the hearing. The chair noted one commissioner was on the phone but not audible; commissioners present voted 'aye' and the result was recorded as the motion carrying 3-0-1.
The commission also directed staff to confirm that the commission has met the required number of open meetings before final circulation and to attach any outstanding exhibits. Commissioners asked that any dissenting position statements be included in appendices or circulated separately so the public could review alternative analyses before the hearing.
