Community Reinvestment Program reports allocations and priorities tied to reentry

"The Community Reinvestment Program started with a $200,000,000 investment to respond to the disparities and the harm caused by the war on drugs," Corbett said, and described a planned annual allocation of $50,000,000. He explained CRP’s four allowable purpose areas (reentry, legal assistance, violence prevention and economic development), the use of a regional allocation model, and a tribal set‑aside involving partnerships with roughly 21 tribes.
Corbett noted early performance metrics (thousands of instances of housing support, employment services and other service counts) and said the program is working on administrative practices and deliverable‑based contracting. He invited written feedback from the council and emphasized that CRP investments should remain informed by lived experience and council priorities.
