The Fitchburg City Council on Feb. 3 approved finance orders including a $200,000 transfer from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Housing Revolving Fund to the CDBG Year 51 Demolition activity account.
The Council also approved the expenditure of Massachusetts Audubon Society grant funds in the approximate amount of $71,550 to meet the city's matching obligation for a conservation restriction at 71 Bennett Road. The finance report and orders were read and accepted by roll call vote 10-0; the orders were later signed by the Mayor on Feb. 19, 2026.
Finance Committee orders with smaller inter-account transfers were also presented and referred as appropriate to cover payroll, overtime and stipend needs within DPW Water and Wastewater divisions.
