Vocational Services reports program growth, boiler replacement and 5310 vehicle purchase

Will Kline updated the board on Vocational Services operations and capital items. He reported that a replacement boiler has been delivered (after prior deliveries arrived damaged) and is expected to be installed soon. The Kids Summer Program is at its halfway point; staff reported strong participant engagement and one staff resignation last week but the program will continue with 13 staff.
Kline said adult facility-based programs currently have 71 clients enrolled, compared with 68 clients at the same time last year. He also described the 5310 DOT minivan procurement: the county selected an alternate model after a ramp-quality issue flagged by the State, additional ODT funding reduced the county cost share, and the vehicle will be used by Menominee Transit for the county transit program.
