Board approves July/August warrants, accepts 2023–24 audit and sells Bus 107

The Stockbridge Valley Central School District Board of Education on Oct. 8 approved routine financial items: treasurer reports and warrants for July and August 2024, the district’s 2023–24 annual audit, the sale of a surplus bus and the calendar for 2025–26 budget preparation.
On motions by Doug Reed, seconded by Kristin Guinto, the board adopted the July 2024 Treasurer’s Report and approved July 1–31 warrants totaling $855,600.83 across funds (General Fund $649,880.04; Lunch Fund $194.53; Special Aid $2,899.94; Capital Fund $202,626.32). The board likewise adopted the August 2024 Treasurer’s Report and approved August 1–31 warrants (General Fund $424,080.09; Lunch Fund $635.14; Special Aid $16,014.78; Capital Fund $50,540.00). Both motions carried with 5 ayes and 0 nays.
The board also approved the Annual Audit Report for the 2023–24 school year, again on a motion by Reed and seconded by Guinto, with the motion carrying 5–0. Separately, members voted to accept a $2,225 bid for Bus 107 from Auctions International. The meeting record shows the budget preparation schedule for 2025–26 was adopted the same evening. These actions were recorded in open session; the audit and warrant amounts were recorded in the minutes.
