Judge orders daily fines for property at 6161 State Hwy 29A; next court date Jan. 7, 2025

Code Enforcement Officer David Rackmyre told the Town Board that a judge has ordered escalating daily fines for the property at 6161 State Hwy 29A. Rackmyre reported the judge ruled the owner will be fined $50 per day from Nov. 20 to Dec. 3, 2024, and $100 per day commencing Dec. 4 until the property is cleaned up or until the next court date; fines increase by $50 per day after each court date until reaching a maximum of $200 per day. Rackmyre said the next court date is Jan. 7, 2025.
Rackmyre also reported he submitted an APA referral and that the Adirondack Park Agency issued a subdivision permit on Kerlly/Youker Road with parcel sizes ranging from about 9+ acres to 50+ acres. He noted completion of his 2025 recertification training and attendance at a FEMA Flood Plain meeting in November.
