The Stratford Town Board adopted Resolution 42-2024 to accept a Fulton County contract under Section 135A of the Highway Law for snow and ice removal on 8.91 miles of county roads. The contract rate is $5,500.00 per mile, for a total of $49,005.00 for the 2024–2025 winter season; the motion carried with AYES 4 (Fogarty, Rumrill, Ploss, Seeley).
Highway Superintendent Lawrence Staring reported local road work: the paved portion of Kelly Road was reprofiled and paved and will be chip sealed next year; the lower section of Hadcock Road was paved; a section of Stewart Landing Road was chip sealed; and roadsides have been mowed.
