District finalizes PSRP contract, updates timesheets to comply with FLSA quarter-hour rule

Superintendent Dr. Margaret Clauson told the board that the new 2025–2030 PSRP contract has been finalized and is in the printer, with hard copies to be distributed to PSRP members shortly. A special open enrollment period is available through Sept. 19 to allow eligible PSRP employees to update benefits and take advantage of increased employer contribution for dependent coverage under the new contract.
Dr. Clauson also described administrative changes to payroll procedures: new timesheets and helper documents were created as the district aligns timesheet-based payments with the FLSA quarter-hour rule. "This rule requires employee work time to be reported in 15-minute increments (for example 0.25 hours instead of 10 minutes)," she said. The change aims to simplify manual timesheet processing and improve pay accuracy.
